Communication between Interpol Secretariat General and the member countries is assured via facsimile, telex, electronic mail and the I-24/ 7 communication system. In fact, the old X400 system was replaced in spring 2003 by the Global Communications System I-24/ 7 which is a highly sophisticated network. It should be noted that among the 181 ICPO member countries, Lebanon was one of the first fourty countries that started using this new system.
