Four
conditions must be fulfilled to pursue, on the international
level, a criminal that committed his crime on the Lebanese territories:
1- Committing the criminal act on the Lebanese territories
subject to the territorial jurisdiction.
2- Issue of a judicial warrant (of arrest or detention) or
of a judgement making provision for a
criminal or
correctional sentence.
3- Submitting a request before the Office of the General Prosecutor
at the Supreme Court.
4- Payment of a bail ranging between five thousand and ten
thousand U.S. dollars (depending
on the distance between Lebanon
and the country where the criminal is arrested) as
expenses
of the travel of the security mission charged of extraditing
him and suing him in
justice in Lebanon.
Then, IP Beirut circulates a notice of research against the
concerned person wanted on the international level, and when
arrested, he is extradited on basis of the international agreements
or the principle of reciprocity.
